What Hypnotic Rise is built on, and where the limits are
We do not believe in miracles. We believe in meta-analyses. On this page you will find the research behind Hypnotic Rise: what hypnosis has been shown to do, what conditioning supports, why if-then plans are the strongest lever in self-regulation research, and just as honestly: where the evidence is thin and what Hypnotic Rise cannot do.
The research, building block by building block
Hypnosis
One of the most thoroughly meta-analysed methods of change. For anxiety, the meta-analysis by Valentine et al. (2019) shows a medium to large effect (d = 0.79 compared with control groups).
→ Valentine, Milling et al. (2019), International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis
Conditioning & anchoring
Systematically linking states to cues supports behaviour change, shown meta-analytically among others by Hofmann et al. (2010) on evaluative conditioning (d = 0.52).
If-then plans (implementation intentions)
The strongest single lever in self-regulation research: the meta-analysis of 94 studies shows a medium to large effect on goal attainment (d = 0.65).

Habit formation
New behaviour becomes automatic after a median of 66 days, with wide individual variation (18 to 254 days). That is why Hypnotic Rise has no fixed duration: scope and rhythm follow you.

What we do NOT claim
- We do not claim that hypnosis works for everyone: a small share of people barely respond to trance. That is why everything starts with a free hypnosis.
- We do not claim to treat illnesses. Hypnotic Rise is self-help. With depression, anxiety disorders, the after-effects of trauma or acute crises, change work belongs in the hands of a doctor or therapist. The studies cited describe results under study conditions, often with therapists, and are not a promise for your case.
- We do not guarantee results. People respond differently to hypnosis.
- Where evidence is thin (for example single embodiment findings), we say so instead of inflating it into certainty.
Hypnotisability, honestly explained
Hypnotisability varies: a small share of people respond exceptionally strongly to trance, many respond well, a small share barely at all. That is why Hypnotic Rise starts with a free hypnosis: you notice for yourself whether hypnosis reaches you before you decide on anything.
